Ocean Conservation
On Monday a cool lady came into Te Ngahere her name was Libby. She taught me all about Ocean Conservation. I learnt lots from her. Half an hour later the whole class went outside to pick up rubbish because in other countries there is lots of rubbish flying around and also floating in the sea.

Should Plastic Bags Be Used At Supermarkets?
I think that New Zealand should get rid of plastic bags because sea animals always get hurt from the rubbish that is around them. Whenever turtles see plastic bags they think it is Jellyfish.
When ever people go shopping at the supermarkets, some people take lots of plastic bag which people can not see the plastic bags because the other plastic bags are hiding behind the other plastic bags.
Plastic bags are used for containing and transporting goods such as foods, produce, powders, ice, magazines, chemicals, and waste.
Plastic bags tend to disrupt the environment in a serious way. They get into soil and slowly release toxic chemicals. They eventually break down into the soil, with the unfortunate consequence being that animals eat them and often choke and die.

Morning Mihi
Last week in Te Ngahere, we were learning to make Visual Mihi to help us remember the morning mihi. Another WALT was we were learning to understand the mihi. We had to find photos that reminds you of the mihi. I choose my photos because I know most parts of the mihi and for the rest that I need a little help from the photos.
